Question

After Effects 25.2.2 Not Recognizing Log Files

After Effects 2025.2.2

MacOS 15.4.1

Apple M1 Ultra

64 GB

After Effects is not recognizing log files. I shot with Panasonic Vlog and when I import the video it appears to have a lut applied before I apply the VLog_to_V709_forV35_ver100.cube Lut. It appears to add a lut on import and when I apply the correct lut the video displays over-exposed video. I created a new Premiere Pro project, imported the same file, and applied the LUT, which worked as expected. I then sent the sequence to After Effects via dynamic link and the result was over-exposed video as before. Is there any solution to my problem? Here are a series of screen grabs of the problem.

Premiere raw import no Lut

Premiere Pro Lut Applied

After Effects Raw Log File in comp

After Effects Log File with lut applied

Premiere Pro round trip dynamic linked file

Hi there,

We're here to help. Can you check if toggling the "Use Display Color Management" helps? If not, please share the following details:

1. Go to File > Project Settings > Color and share a screenshot.

2. Right-click the media in the Project panel > Interpret Footage > Main > Color. Share a screenshot.

Looking forward to your response. Moving this thread from Bugs to Discussions for troubleshooting.

Thanks,
Nishu

I uninstalled that version and rolled back to the previous version and everything works as expected when I start a new project and import the raw footage into a new comp. If I create a new sequence in Premiere, apply the color correction in Premiere, and then send it to After Effects, the footage displays as expected. I don't have time to reinstall the latest version and run the test again, but hopefully I can next week.  Here are the screenshots you requested using the previous version.
