After Effects 7 AME freezing when rendering

I'm having problems rendering since updating software to cc2019. Anyone else experienced this?

Also, how do i reinstall cc2018 when it was uninstalled when i installed cc2019

Thanks for that. All sorted and back to cc2018 now. I managed to salvage the work I’d done in cc2019 as I discovered you can ‘save as’ cc2018.

Have the same problem since updating (October 2018) and can't go back a version as I've done most of the work in the new AE.

Regarding the freezing render, I've found a temporary work-around: Export first as an image sequence, then pull in and export that image sequence as your desired output. It's a ridiculous compromise, but it's better than nothing until Adobe fixes this flaw.

Regarding reinstalling CC2018 apps, you can download them with your Creative Cloud app.
