After Effects crashed and messed with my plugins and presets

I was using after effects cc 2020 last night and it crashed as i added s_wiperings to my clip. this happens sometimes so i wasnt too worried until it started "verifying" after effects as i reopened it. now whenever i add plugins such as twixtor, bcc, or sapphire to my clips, it has the message "This effect may slow down preview and export as it is not optimized for multi-frame rendering". though it was making my clips take forever to load through, I still wasn't worried -- That was until i went to add my coloring and noticed my entire MBL coloring preset folder was gone. I tried to re-add the colorings but it said it was unsupported. why did this happen and how do I fix this?

Multi-Frame Rendering is a new feature as of AE 2022, so that must be what you're opening. If those plugins haven't been updated for the newer versions, you can either run the older version of After Effects to use them, or reach out to those developers and confirm if they do or will have updates available.

I cannot thank you enough! it seems i have both ae 2021 (i thought it was 2020) and ae 2022 downloaded and i have no clue as to why. when ae crashed i opened the newer version instead. Quick question though, if i were to uninstall the newer version, would it mess with ae 2021 in any way? I attatched an imagine of my installations so you can see what im working with.

Personally, I would encourage you to keep both installed, and use the newer version on projects that aren't using these effects. Uninstalling 2022 should have no effect on your 2021 install, though.
