After Effects crashes on preview

Since the latest update (23.6) on my Mac, After Effects crashes almost every time I try to preview using spacebar. I have purged everything, tried safe mode, doesn't help. Please help!

Can you install the latest version of After Effects and see if the issue persists?

    That's fine. It stopped happening on the next update.

    Hi @JohnColombo17100380, sorry for not replying earlier. I found a post somewhere else with the same problem, which was using the Cinema4D 3D space. I switched to using the Classic 3D space in my projects. I understand Adobe is working on the problem? (Please note the questionmark.)

     

    I'm using a Mac Studio with the Apple M1 Max chipset, running macOs Ventura version 13.5.2

    Hi @Elte Hartland,

    Thank you for reporting this issue. When After Effects crashes on playback, have you been able to submit a crash report with your email? Submitting those reports would be the best way for us to further investigate what is causing the crash.

     

    What are the system specs (OS version, hardware) on your Mac? That will also be helpful.
