After Effects crashing on startup

Question

Don't know what's causing it, have tried resintalling, relogging on CC, restarting my pc, tried out previous versions, deleting the files on appdata, nothing works.

It crashes just after it starts up and gives me these two pop-ups before asking me to save a project that doesn't even exist:

I doubt this is a hardware issue since my PC, despite not being top of the line, should very much be able to run AE smoothly.

I have an i5-8400, 16gb of RAM and a GTX 1060ti.

Sorry for your issue.

How do you launch After Effects - do you double-click a project file or click the After Effects icon? Please try resetting the preferences of After Effects. Here's how: https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects-discussions/faq-how-to-reset-trash-preferences-in-after-effects/td-p/10634342
