Question

After Effects creates an empty folder on desktop at startup (OSX Sonoma)

As the title says, every time I start After Effects (24.0.3) an empty folder with the name and tree structure (3 empty folders within) of an old project that I trashed months ago (stored on an external drive) pops up on my desktop.

I, in order:
» Updated the OS to Sonoma from the previous OS.

» Uninstalled and Re-Installed AE multiple times.
» Deleted all the preferences, Unistalled and Re-installed AE.

» ... The folder keeps showing up.

I'm honestly at lost... please help.

Are you still having the issue? Let us know.

I am moving this thread from Bugs to Discussions for now.

Thanks,

The odd fact is that that folder contained a Premiere project. No AE files or cache folder was never associated with that one. It's a totally random folder.
