Can't export, log says failed with this error code: -1609629695

Purged the cache, deleted contents of my %temp% folder, opened a new project with a single video file - that doesn't export either.

Umm, huh? Sorry, but you have not provided any info about your system, your render settings, your project contents, so this is pretty much useless. This error is generic and can occur under a million conditions. At the very least check your hardware acceleration settings, but really, anything beyond this equally generic advice will require proper technical details.
