After Effects Error Code 19969 GPU Accelerated Effects

Explorer ,
Nov 23, 2022 Nov 23, 2022

Hi,

when rendering my 4k comp I get the Error Code 19969 saying that GPU accelerated effects are causing the render to crash. When I switch to Software-Rendering, it works but takes a long time. I don't understand what is happeing here, there is nothing special in my compositon, just a buinch of footage and Lumetri Color Effects along with some Optical Flares. Happens in AE 2022 as well.

Here's my setup:

Latest AE Version 2023

intel 9900k

64gb Ram

2x Nvidia RTX 3080 (10gb)

Downloaded and installed the latest Nvidia Studio Driver.

It means what it says. Lumetri is GPU accelerated and so is Optical Flares. Of course you should have enough juice to handle this with two RTX cards, but as so often it may simply come down to having to spend soem time with the graphics driver configuration. Other than that we can#t realyl know anything without the actual crash details and a render log.

I have the same issue but the workaround with mercury render only doesn't work - it will give me a red video with an error text. I have a VR glow effect in it and right now the only option seems to be rendering without the effect? Is there maybe another solution?
