After effects error: crash in progress. last logged message was: <34644> <dyamiclink> <5> increase

Receiving this error code every time I try to open After Effects.

after effects error: crash in progress. last logged message was: <34644> <dyamiclink> <5> increase wait time to 2

Not sure what to make of it as I have Creative Cloud Desktop up to date, After Effects v23.6, tried restarting the computer and launching AE into safe mode. Nothing is working so far.

Went as far as making sure video drivers are up to date. Also, this computer is a beast with 128 GB of ram, 2080ti, etc, so I know performance isn't the issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Did you recently install any new hardware or plugins?

No, haven't installed anything new that would interfere with AE that I'm aware of.

Any chance you're getting a .crash file being written to disk after that happens?

Do you happen to have Trend Micro's Anti-malware installed?

Where can I find that .crash file? No Trend Micro's Anti-malware on here.

Have a look in C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\After Effects\[ae version number]\logs to see what might be in that folder.

Has After Effects worked on this computer before? If so, which version of it? What other software are you running? Are there any third-party plug-ins installed?

Let us know.

Note: Moving this thread from Bugs to Discussions for troubleshooting.

Thanks,

Nishu
