    That sounds to me like an issue with your graphics card being used by both After Effects and Windows File Explorer.  If you go into Edit > Preferences > Import and uncheck Enable Hardware Accelerated Decoding, it might prevent this crash.

    Try this:

     

    Restore the default Preference settings

    To restore the default preference settings, press and hold the following keys while the application is starting.

    • Windows: Ctrl+Alt+Shift
    • macOS: Command+Option+Shift

    Has anyone ever seen this. It won't let me open up any projects and I can't find this plug-in Reveal Project?
