After Effects error

Hi everyone,

get this error message in After: "Seems you have any collapsible collapsed layer! It will be un-collapsed for you."

What could it be? Some projects open and some don't...

Sorry for your issue. Could you share more details?

What's the exact version of After Effects you're using?
How old are the projects that you're trying to open?
What are your system specifications (CPU, GPU, RAM, OS)?

Have you tried importing the projects into a new project?

I am having a similar problem trying to open a new AE Template. When trying to open the project I get a message I cannot bypass: "It seems you have a collapsible layer". It will be un-collapsed"... But no matter how many times I press the OK button it does nothing. I have to force quit to get out. I also tried importing the project into new project but same result.

I am using CC 2021 v 18.4.1 on a Mac Mini M1 OS 11.6.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

The solution is to press OK about 300 times and eventually it opens and can be resaved.
