After Effects extremely slow

Question

Hi since this week After Effects got extremely slow.
I cleared the adobe cache folders in finder, after that After Effects got really slow. I don't see how this could be the reason though.
Whenever textlayers are into play it just gives me a beachball for 10 seconds for every action i try to do, also rendering of text is just very slow.
I am a motion designer and this makes me almost unable to do clientwork. I did multiple clean installs (with and without migration of settings) & went back to 22.2 but nothing seems to help.

I need this problem resolved ASAP.

I got this too - extremely slow!I’m on a good spec iMac and everything was fine untill one of the updates (cant remember exactly wich version - but its definitely unusuably slow in the current version (22.2.1)!I hope for a quick fix - atm. were paying good money on profesionally unusuable software &#128533;&#x1F615;
