After effects freezes when importing Photoshop files

Hi There since the last update of feb i can't import any photoshop files, it freezes with no help

    sorry, any kind of photoshop deosn't open in AE

     


    Thanks for sharing the file. I was able to import it without any errors.

    Could you try changing the location of the PSD file? Try importing it from desktop. If that doesn't work, try resetting the preferences of After Effects. Here's how: https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects-discussions/faq-how-to-reset-trash-preferences-in-after-effects/td-p/10634342

    This is still happening with AE 25 and PS 25 installed.

      I tried to delete AEGP folder from Plug-ins folder and the psd file imported successfully.

      There is some conflict between autodesk plugin and aftereffects.

        I am on a windows 11 OS

        32GB RAM

        gtx1660ti 6gb

        Ryzen 7 8 cores

        it happen with every photoshop file

        the message i get is after effects stopped working and it shows a window so i can report a bug

        i also purged the cache 

        restarted  the pc 

        i did that almost 20 times

        plus i went back and installed the previous version

        i got the same situation

        illustrator files are ok 

        only photoshop

          As Mylenium mentioned, we'd need more information to troubleshoot the issue properly.

          • What are your system specifications (CPU, GPU, RAM, OS version)?
          • Does it happen with a particular PSD file or any of them?
          • Do you see any error messages?

          This was happening to me on Aug 19, 2024.

          Had to reset my preferences and now I can import PSD files again.

          Not sure what the problem was, but was very annoying

          Without more specific info about your system and your files this is not of much use, I'm afraid. You need to provide more details.
