After effects keeps freezing/crashing

whenever i do something in my composition my AE freezes for like 5-10 minutes (it shows a wide fade my cursor turns into a blue circle thats loading and it says that ae is not responding.) doesnt matter what i do ( add an effect on a layer, disable a clip etc) it does the same thing. it only started like 2 days ago. why. i have a decent pc with 8gb ram. and no i dont have a lot of layers on my composition ( only cc, rsmb and one more effect). can someone help/? thanks

Try turning off RSMB. What are the other effects you're using?

Did your composition accidentally get set to use a different renderer other than Classic?

hey i figured it out. any preset that contained twitch would cause me that problem. its pretty strange though because i used the same presets in another project and it worked fine

The issue is likely Twitch in combination with something else is causing

the issue in your current project.
