After Effects: Memory Allocation Exceeds internal limits

For some reason, I cannot import any files to After Effects? I'm trying to make a simple composition of a .png-file, it's size is 1.39 MB. I keep getting a pop-up telling me "Memory Allocation of 2,2 GB exceeds internal limits. Decrease the memory requirements for rendering this frame (12802)".

I've tried clearing my cache, in- and decreasing the memory requirements, deleting After Effects and downloading it again, and nothing helps.

Anyone know what to do?

Thanks for writing in. Does it happen only when you import the PNG file? Are you able to preview and export the project without importing the PNG file? What are your system specifications (CPU, GPU, RAM, OS version) and which effects are you using in your projects?

We're here to help.

Thanks,
