After Effects 23.2.1 is moving very very slow when using a particular font - FIGTREE font grom Google fonts. My system is a AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-Core Processor 3.79 GHz with 64G RAM.

Correct answer DANAELENA

The problem was only happening when using Light version of this font.
Resolved when i uninstalled the font, then installed it again, as Adobe support suggested.

Thanks @DANAELENA, our team is aware of these kinds of performance slowdowns with certain typefaces and we are investigating changes to our type engine in order to prevent them. Glad to hear that the uninstall/reinstall of the typeface worked.

The problem is still there, whatever font i use, is almost imposible to use after effects. This is very frustrating, what have changed in the new versions? Can i revert to a functional version? How long can it take to fix it?

Hi @DANAELENA,

In the latest Beta builds, there is work ongoing to fix this issue (details are here in the Beta forum). If possible, would you be able to download and try out the latest After Effects (Beta) and see if it behaves any better on your system?

Cheers,
