After Effects not opening

So I was working this morning on a project; everything was ok. However, after coming back from my break After Effects wouldn't start. Everytime I click on the app, it starts the launching process but the moment the splash image appears, the program stops working. I've re-started my laptop and updated the AE version, but it still not working. What can I do?

Delete the preferences so they are re-created with defaults and also clear out your disk caches and temp files.

UPDATE: I uninstall and re-install After Effects but it still not opening. It freezes here. Also, yes, I've read the other posts but none of the suggestions worked.
