hey guys!
I just started working with a team where I will receive several After Effects 2024 projects and I can't update to this version.
The version I have is After Effects 2023
My mac is:
macOS Big Sur 11.7.10 MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014)
I tried updating my mac but it's already up to date.
Does anyone know how to solve this without having to ask someone to downgrade the project for me every time I need it?
I know there is a Downgrader Project Online for Premiere, does anyone know if there is something like that for After too?

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

As far as I know, the only way to downgrade your project file is within AE. It is in File > Save As > Save a Copy As [old ae version]
Ask one of your colleagues to save the project to version 23.x or 22.x, so you can import it.

This is unfortunately a workflow issue. In general everyone working on a project really should be using the same version of the application because Ae files are not backwards compatible. Neonant is right someone with the current version would have to save to the older version for you. When they then get the files from you AE will automatically update it and create a new file.
AE 2024 is not compatible with the Big Sur OS for Mac, they discontinued suport for it.
