After Effects track not showing in Active camera

I have 4 scenes I already tracked and was able to paste text on to the wall, floor etc. This 5th scene, I added numbers to a banner and it looks great with the "3D tracker camera" but when I switch to active camera, the text and track null stays in the same spot of the screen (not tracking). Why is it tracking correctly in the one camera mode, but not with active (considering that is the one I need to work to see in the final project)? All the layer settings look the same. When I paste the tracked clip over to another working sequnece, I have the same problem. I haven't had this specific issue before- usually it works or doesn't work at all. Not teasing me like this haha

Thanks for the help!

That fixed it. I duplicated the layer to put a freeze frame originally to copy the text already on the banner, but decided to put original text instead so it looks like that messed it up. Thanks!

You are making your screenshots useless by cropping them and clipping away critical info just as well as you don't have the relevant properties revealed. If even new layers appear hollow it must mean that you messed around with the time, which could be anything from the composition start time not matching the other comps to of course having enabled time-remapping/ time-stretching somewhere. Likewise, you could simply have shifted the time when pre-composing your original camera and layers. Impossible to say based on your screenshots and your super sparse info, but definitely check those things.

AE honors the layer visibility of camera layers just like any regular layer, the reason being that you can have multiple cameras to "cut" between. In your screenshot it is clear that the camera is not the "Active Camera" in the truest sense of the word because you have trimmed the layer. This is how it is supposed to work. Extend the layer to cover the empty area annd it will behave accordingly.

Ok, I think I see what you are talking about. The camera layer block has no fill. When I try to resize it, it disappears. Each time I try to create a new camera from the layer, it remains hollow. Is there something that got changed on the settings? How do I get it to be a solid grey bar again? Thanks!

This can happen if the camera is turned off and this is not clear in your screenshot, so double-check your camera layer
