after effects trapcode particular 4 error - invalid filter (25 :: 3)

hi, recently i upgraded to trapcode suite 15 onto my mac but when i try and put particular on a solid (comp is 1080x1080, 30fps), it first comes up with an error of 'couldn't find main entry point for particular' so i tried to put particular on again and it then came up with 'invaild filter (25 ::3)'. i have tried reputting it on my solid but still comes up with that error. i have uninstalled and reinstalled trapcode two times but the problem still remains. everything works (mir, form, tao, etc.) but particular. my specs are crap af and i have no sort of clue/idea on graphic cards and processors but idk if that is the source of the problem. this problem has never occurred to me when i used trapcode suite 13.

i use macOS Mojave, version 10.14

processor: 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7

memory: 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 512 MB Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB

i use adobe after effects cc 2017.
