Looking for a consultant who train and help my company setup a workflow for using RAW video in Premiere Pro and adding VFX to the video in After Effects.
I think After Effects cannot render back out to RAW and not lose some of the gamut range?
Right now we use RAW video in Premiere, link to the RAW footage in After Effects and add VFX to that footage in After Effects, render out composited VFX and video footage out of AE back to Premiere, then lastly color in Resolve. Any VFX we are trying to blend in After Effects does not have the same gamut range as the RAW video footage, so in Resolve, the VFX overlays don't have the gamut to be adjusted the same as the video footage.
Thanks, Joseph

That's what DNG and EXR workflows in 32bpc are for. Anything beyond that boiler plate text would require more specific info on color management settings or for that matter what VFX you produce that look screwy. Many effects behave differently in 32bpc compared to 8bpc/ 16bpc, so that's part of the game, too.
