After Effects warning: logged one error - "error: internal verification failure, sorry! {Node received more checkout requests than expected}"

Community Beginner ,

I have had this error for 3 days and have done everything i can to try and fix it. I have done the following:
1. Restarted my Laptop
2. Re-installed ALL my plugins
3. Rendering in different formats (mp4, .mov, avi)
4. Rendering via Media Encoder
5. Upgrading to Adobe After Effects 2017
After doing all these changes, it always stops mid-way through the render and comes up with the error 'After Effects warning: logged one error - "error: internal verification failure, sorry! {Node received more checkout requests than expected}"'.
I really need to render a project of mine and have tried doing it for the past 3 days and i have always gotten this error.
Please HELP!

Without knowing anything about the specific structure of your comp nobody can tell you much. Checkout errors typically point to cyclic references that cause invalid loops, e.g. layers referenced in effects pop-ups where the layer itself is generated/ used with some otehr effect or in a pre-comp. You have to be very, very specific down to the T to unriddle this.

It stops at the same point in time when you render? What layer or effect starts up at that time?

I also had this issue, it has something to do with changing Roto Brush in pre-comps. After I had redone some of my rotos inside pre-comps this happened on theses clips. The only solution I could find was to redo the whole layer in new pre-comps, but copy all the other effects (text, blur, ect.) other than the source and roto into the new comps in the same places. All my layers with this issue went something like this:

(Left --> right = Outer --> deeper)

(> = next pre-comp in)

Hold Last Frame, S_ZBlur, Opacity > Either Time Remap or nothing (Because Im messsy) > Pre-Comp with Roto(Character), Text/Shape(Behind Character), Pre-Comp without Roto (Background) > Source Clip, Twixtor.

I've been having the same issue for the past 24 hours. When using rotoscoping, you have to toggle "freeze" so it doesn't keep coding over each stroke. Only then will it run effectively when pre-composed and mashed up with other layers.

(Also, avoid excessive strokes in rotoscoping. I tried to perfect one clip but in the end put b-roll over it... keying excessively makes playback miserably long and impossible. I was able to key about 4 backgrounds/foregrounds and use 3 light brush effects. Anything more and my comp went to the grave.)

LATEST

Hello,

I recently started getting this error after getting a new 8gig 2666 ram so maybe it's ram related, so weird.
