after effects warning reading past end of file

Alright so I downloaded some presets and they are .ffx files and I go to import them from Animation > Browse Presets and the caption "after effects warning reading past end of file" appears. Help, they should work I've watched every tutorial.

    Try to copy those presets into the Presets folder of your After Effects installation. Create a new folder called Custom and copy them inside this folder. Then open AE and go to your Effects & Presets panel and check if you can see them and apply to your clips

    Without knowing what presets you are referring to and info on your version of AE, system info etc. nobody can tell you anything. From the files simply being damaged during download to being designed for an older version of AE to using specific third-party plug-ins there could be a million things that make them appear defunct.
