Hi,
All of a sudden I'm getting an error message when I try to export using media encoder.
(AfterFX.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close...)
I'm using AE 22.2.1 and each app is up to date, as are my NVIDIA drivers.
The only thing that changed (apart from updating Adobe apps!) is that I installed Element 3D (and Elementary).
Thank you for any help!
My system is:
Windows 10
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.40 GHz
32 GB Ram
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 (Driver 511.65)
I fixed the issue. I've deleted AE Juice Plugin manager and now it's working.
I was not even using the plugin but, i guess it caused some problems some how.

Hi
Thanks for the reply. I can't seem to attach a crash report here?
I have a lot of plugins but the Comp is only 30s long without anything complex going on. (No 3D, no lights, etc).
I've tested it using 2 (similar) projects but I know that one of them exported fine before the updates.
Thanks again.

Thanks for the reply. It makes me think that it's a project-specific issue. Could you test after removing the plug-ins from the project? Also, would you mind letting us know the plug-ins that you installed recently?
You can copy and paste the crash report into a text file and attach the text file here.
Let us know.
Thanks,
Nishu

Hi,
Thank again for the reply.
I've attached a crash report (as a txt file) here but I also opened a different test project which is 10s long with vitually nothing in it and Media Encoder has frozen half way through an H.264 export (hasn't aactually crashed After FX...yet.)
I installed Element 3D and a plugin caled Elementary.
Thank you!

Please remove all plug-ins form your system and test, if all is well then add each plug-in, one buy one to see what is causing the issue.

What version of Media Encoder please?

I'm having exactly same problem right now.
There's no plug in used in the project file and this is happening... so frustrating.

There was an issue earlier this year. Make sure you are on the last version of Ae and AME.

Hi, Thanks for the reply.
In fact, I did reinstalled both Ae and AME.
I could export image sequence directly from Ae but whenever I tried to export mp4 through AME,
'afterfx.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close' this error pops up.
Any idea how this could be solved? ..

Ah, that's interesting. I also have the AE juice plugin, which looks useful but intrusive. I'll take it out and see if it resolves the issue. Thank you.

Thank you kind sir! I totally forgot I had it installed as well. Earlier in the day I noticed it was in my startup apps and disabled it. Thats when my issues started. It was also breaking my preference file.

Where was that file located? I'm having the same problem and even saw a notification about AE Juice but I can't find the file to delete it. Was it in a plugin folder or something?
