AfterFX.exe - Application Error

For a while now I've been struggling to open After Effects due to errors regarding missing dll files. Though I have finally fixed these, I am now receiving a new error message "AfterFX.exe - Application Error" which then reads "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application." I have done some research the matter and as a result have installed "aio-runtime.exe" which was ineffective.

Hi chloeb,

Sorry for the trouble.

Try this: Right click on the application shortcut or .exe file > Click on Run as Administrator.

Let us know if that works. It will make us understand if there is an issue with the permissions.
