Animation Presets not working in 2021

I am unable to add any text animation to my projects since updating to AE 2021. They all appear OK with the right path but I get this error message "After Effects error: Can't import file "CenterSpiral.ffx": unsupported filetype or extension. (0 :: 1)" Can anyone help point me in the right direction.

1) have you tried apply any other Text Animation Presets besides "CenterSpiral"?

2) Have you tried applying the preset on another font?

3) You can apply presets via the Animation Menu or Effects & Presets Panel - (3a) which have you used and (3b) have you tried the other option?

4) Provide your Comp Settings and let us know if you have the composition's pixel aspect ratio set to anything other than square (1:1).

Yes, have tried other text/animations and all give the same error message.

Font doesn't seem to matter.

Yes, I am able to use the Effects & Presets Panel, but for many things I want to use the Bridge - is there a reason I can't access that way? Am I supposed to reconnect something or reload something?

Yes 1:1

Thanks so much for assistance, JoAnn

I am able to apply Presets inluding CenterSpiral using Adobe Bridge.

Please check that you have the correct version of Adobe Bridge to go along with your version of AE - these should be AE Version 18 or 2021 and for Adobe Bridge it should be Version 11 or 2021. If problems persist, please file a Bug Report.

Hvae you tried to apply an animation text from the Effects and Presets Panel?

Yes, that does work. Which is great, but I really like to scroll through the samples in Bridge - is there a reason I can't do that anymore or is there something I need to connect up in order to do this.

If I go back to AE 2020, that still works fine.

Thanks for your assistance, JoAnn

Try to create a new animation preset and save it in any other folder or a new folder. Then try to apply this new preset via Bridge. If it works, you probably have a permission problem in your macOS. Maybe you nneed to access your Vault Control Panel in the Finder and let After Effects and Adobe Bridge complete access to the presets folder. Not sure that this can solved your problem but since Mojave you need to allow apps to access to your hard drive content. As other colleagues tell you, I have nno problem at all applying presets from Bridge.
