Hello,

Trying to render something in After Effects with Video codec Apple Prores 4444, but I can't find it on the list. There are other Apple Prores options available, namely 422, but no 4444.

I am using After Effects 2014.2 Version 13.2.0.49 on a Mac

Not sure if relevant but here are my computer stats:

Processor  2 x 2.66 GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon

Memory  18 GB 667 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM

Graphics  ATI Radeon HD 5870 1024 MB

Software  Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63)

Thank you!

Can you post screenshots of your "Output Module Settings" window as well as the dialog that pops up when you click "Format Options" and open up the dropdown menu to show your options?

Make sure you have the latest version of Apple's Pro Video formats: Pro Video Formats 2.0.6

This link says that only ProRes 4444 XQ requires Mountain Lion, so unless they changed the minimum requirements for 4444 your OS shouldn't be an issue. Although, you should strongly consider updating your OS as newer versions of AE don't support really old versions of OSes.

David, thanks for your response.

Attached are the screenshots requested. As you can see, Apple prores 4444 is not there. I also tried downloading the Pro Video Formats 2.0.6 that you linked to, but was unable to (see screenshot). Is there a workaround? I don't have any of those programs. Alternatively is there a way to check what version of Pro Video Formats I have?
