Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo ScreenXpert Issue

Hello!

 

I have been using an Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 and running After Effects on it for about a year or so. I enjoy using the ScreenXpert app that allows for some shortcuts while editing (pic for reference at end). 

 

Recently it has not been working in After Effects while still working in Photoshop and Illustrator. Is this just an issue with an After Effects update or possibly on ASUS's end or is there something I can enable or settings I can tweak to fix this?
