Attaching text to the ground in After Effects CS5.5

There is a YouTube video that shows how to attach text to the ground in After Effects CC. Is it possible to do this in After Effects CS5.5? The Tracker panel in my older version of After Effects doesn't seem to have the Track Camera option.

Thanks,

Jay

that's because it was only introduced in CS6...  you will have to resort to other methods, 3rd party tracker software or get at least CS6.

It would not be worth it to purchase CS6 at this point. It is already six years old!

If you want to do the effect without upgrading, check out this Magic Tracking tutorial from Video Copilot.

Is it even possible to upgrade to CS6? I actually have the full retail version of Master Collection CS5.5 and wouldn't mind upgrading the whole thing to CS6.

Thanks,
Jay

You cannot upgrade to any standalone product package at this point. It's all Creative Cloud. You could of course try to get a used license, but that could be complicated due to the required license transfer and the software ageing fast. It may not be worth it.
