Well today i was editing a video and replacing some the clips with an after effects composition, multiple times throughout the day i had selected multiple layers into one composition and had no issue with editing keyframes, however when i was editing multiple layers of some text and making it into a composition after effects has now decided to make every layer into a precomp every single time i replace a clip in premiere pro for an after effects composition, i have to manually add effects to multiple layers of keyframes of which I did not have to do before, and even for single layers of text it is putting it into a precomp, Some of the compositions before this issue happened did not get automatically precomped, I have attached images of this before & after it occurred If anyone can help me resolve this issue it would be much appreciated, Been searching for multiple hours for a fix

Impossible to say anything without any info about your sequence, but chances are you enabled something in Premiere like adding an effect, tweaking the volume, changing the crop & transform of footage, adding a non-realtime transition that will require rendering, keyframes, time-remapping and a million other things. There must be a reason why AE thinks it can only retain those properties by pre-composing, so seriously do double- and triple-check.

Been experimenting a bit more and found out that its not affecting making a composition out of a video, the precomposition is only affecting my text boxes on all projects new and old
