Best Practices for Embedding Animations into a Website Using After Effects?

New Here ,
Oct 19, 2024 Oct 19, 2024

I’ve been working on creating animations using After Effects and want to embed them into a website for smooth performance across different devices. What are some recommended practices or export settings for optimizing After Effects animations for the web? Are there any specific formats or plugins that work best to ensure fast loading times and compatibility with website platforms?

Thanks in advance,

Best practice would be to not use AE at all and resort to Animate, Figma and the five million other web native animation tools. The specifics entirely depend on what the animation needs to do and how it's supposed to interact with the rest of the web page. Most of the time you will need to clean up even an exported Lottie file like consolidating styles or changing references to other files/ pages.
