black screen flashing + can't open preferences

I hope someone can help me. My After Effects 2024 occasionally encounters issues with the videos I add. After a while, black frames appear, sometimes with parts of the video still visible, or the entire video turns completely black. Another problem I'm facing is that I can't open preferences. As soon as I try, After Effects freezes and I have to close it. I'm working on a Windows 10 Programm.
