Question

Black Screens In Video After Render

Hello, I have recently just finished a new project with some heavy effects and everything turns up fine in my preview. The real problem arises when I render the project and there are some random moments where the screen turns black, yet the audio continues playing. I have checked everything from guide layer switch, gaps between clips to even clearing the cache. NONE OF IT WORKS!

Please find the attached file to see what I mean by black screen cuts.

Hi deepxika,

Thanks for writing in

Agree with what Mylenium said. What are your system specifications (CPU, GPU, RAM, OS version)? Could you share some details on your project?

  • Which effects did you use?
  • Any third-party plug-ins?
  • Are there any media files? If so, what are the details of the media (frame rate, frame size, format/codec)?

We're here to help, just need more info.

Thanks,

Nishu

Thank you for your prompt reply! The problem is sort of fixed right now, but only after I removed a certain effect called motion tile. I'm not sure how motion tile caused this issue in the first place, so you can say that I'm still looking for a solution.

It's an i3 cpu with 8 gb of ram and it's currently running on windows windows 10! the specs are rather old, but I've never faced an issue before. The effects I added were motion tile (now removed because it renders black), cc scale wipe, liquify, and loads of masking. The third party plugins are bcc, sapphire, & twixtor.  There are three to five different media files of framerates 23.976 or 30 fps.

That pretty much indicates issues with your GPU acceleration, so turn off hardware accelerated encoding or take the long routen and fix your graphics driver and its settings. Whatever is the easiest.
