Black video preview and GPU error in AE 22.5

Hi

Just updated to the latest version of After Effects (22.5) on my Windows 10 workstation with a 1080 Ti (latest Studio Driver as well).
After Effects i now completely useless showing only an black video preview. Even individual .mov files can't be previewed. Moreover, when opening a recent project with a moderate amount of effects, AE gives me an "GPU error" telling me I'm out of GPU-memory and have to switch to Software Only. This, however, does nothing. The error pops up every time I move the playhead anywhere. The Software Only thing gets rid of the error, but playblack is stalled and the playhead won't move (still black video preview).

I've tried a fresh, blank project with no success.

I've tried whiping med Disk Cache and cleaning the Cache Media Database.

I'v tried reinstalling AE 22.5 and NOT migrating settings from previous version.

I've tried both ProRes and h.264 footage (only h.264 shows a thumbnail image in the project window).

Rolling back to After Effects v22.4 solves the problem, so it feels like something GPU-related changed in 22.5.
Anyone got an idea what's going on?

Thanks!

Similar issue. No error message, but preview would only play back a few frames. Tried all the usual disk/media purges. Restarting. I'm guessing this is a permissions/settings migration issue. But I opened up permissions on the 22.4 folder and that didn't help. I don't really want to deal with it. Rolling back to 22.4 fixed it. I'm trying to work.
