Blank/Black composition when importing .psd file into after effects

Everytime I try to import my psd file i want to animate it just turns black or doesnt load. it's in RGB, i've done things like this before so I don't think it's my computer specs. When it does "load" and its a black screen; when turning on transparency, the transparent background pops up.

  • Does it happen with all the PSD files or a particular one?
  • What's the exact version of After Effects and Photoshop you're using?
  • Can you try importing this PSD into an old After Effects project and see if the preview work.

    • any psd
  • What's the exact version of After Effects and Photoshop you're using?
    • latest verisons according to adobe cloud
  • Can you try importing this PSD into an old After Effects project and see if the preview work.
    • just tried this and it didnt work, the old project loaded tho
