The title explains the issue. Block dissolve works to gradually dissolve a clip over the course of 30s, yet at the 14s mark the position of the blocks abruptly change position and I would like the clip to continue gradually fading away blocks in their present positions. Can any one help?

I just applied Block Dissolve to a gradient-filled shape layer, increased the block height and width, and, to make the edges show up, turned off Shoft Edges. I don't see any change in the block size.
What are you seeing?

Thank you for your response. I've shortened the entire video. Notice in the image below around the 2-3s mark the blocks alternate and then continue transitioning the image away.

Are you animating the height or width?

Thanks for attempting to assist. I reset the custom width and height and it removed any glitches.

Use the Mosaic effect in conjunction with the Gradient Wipe or as a direct track matte if you run into issues. Otherwise I concur with Rick. The distribution of the blocks would only change if some input parameter changes, so check your values and keyframes.
