If you already have it activated, I think it would not be an issue of After Effects but of the plugin, make sure that the version you have installed is the right one for the version of After Effects you are using.

I got the right version, but it's the same as before.

I think you need to activate the Universe plugin with RedGiant/Maxon.   Have you logged in / registered through the interface?

How do you activate it?
