Bug in AE 2021 layer panel no longer displays Effects bezier handles

AE 2021 - The Layer Panel no longer displays Motion Path handles for Effects or Motion Tracking. This is a major hindrance when animating and tweaking Effects paths such as Brush Position, Center, etc.  or for analysing Motion Tracking problems. I have also tested this in AE Beta and the problem persists. I have tested this with multiple Effects and Motion tracking examples. The problem also applies to bezier handles for >Anchor Point path. Mask paths bezier handles are still editable in this panel.

Here is a more detailed description:


AE 2020 >Layers panel CORRECTLY displays 
>Effects motion paths with editable bezier handles; and 
>Tracking Motion paths - display motion paths enabled


AE 2021 Using the same settings, the >Layers panel DOES NOT display any bezier handles for
>Effects motion paths - displays dots of path but no bezier handles, so the paths can no longer be edited
>Tracking Motion paths - display motion paths enabled


AE Beta - same as 2021

    Unfortunately, I had already tried all your suggestions and none of them work. It is definitely a bug that has reared its ugly head in this latest version of AE 2021.... and just tried again to be sure. 🙂
    I'll try and attach the screen shots but it would not let me do so yesterday when I posted.

    PS. I should stress it is the LAYER panel set to view Effects, not the Composition panel 🙂

    If the selection tool (v) is active and you do not see handles,  make sure that "All Keyframes" have been selected in Preferences/Display/Motion Path.     shortcut: Alt/Option + Ctrl/Cmnd + ;

     

    If that does not fix the problem, reboot, then hold down Shift + Alt/Option + Ctrl/Cmnd and double click the AE Icon to open AE and reset your preferences. If you want to keep your preferences open Preferences/General and select Reveal Preferences in Finder at the bottom of the panel and rename your old preferences file and then reboot. That way you will be able to go back to the old preferences if the old settings were not causing your problems.
