Can I export Premiere Pro projects to After Effects?

So this might be a stupid question, but I'm wondering if you can export premiere pro projects to after effects. By "export" I just mean can I open my premiere pro project in after effects? I just want to trim out my clips and stuff in premiere pro and then add text and transitions and effects in after effects. Is it possible, and if it is, can you tell me how to do it? Thanks

Select the part of the sequence you want to be exported into After Effects, then right click.

Click Replace With After Effects Composition, which is near the top of the menu. From there, it'll open the sequence as an After Effects project, although some elements may have changed (and it will say so) because they are different software.
