Can I place an image into a shape layer?

Hello! I have multiple shape layers (elipses) that keep moving around, but I want to place an image in to these shape layers, is this possible? I want to have a Photoshop clipping mask effect, that the image stays within the elipse.

The shapes will all have to be on separate layers. The images need to be on other layers. Then, you use the shape as a track matte or as the Set Matte source for the images.

That is not too complicated to achieve. As Rick already mentioned, the shapes will have to be on a single layer, but in your screenshot it looks like that is the case.

Next just place the respective image above or beneath the shape you want it to appear in. Change it's size etc. to the desired one.
Then you choose the track matte for the image, which is the shape layer you want it to appear in.
If you want the image to move as the matte does, just link it to it.
