Can't change font: 'Unable to set transform. GDI Status: InvalidParameter'

Hello,

I've recently started using After Effects. Everytime I want to change the font family of a text, a warning pops up stating: 'Unable to set transform. GDI Status: Invalid Parameter.' When I click OK, the warning keeps popping up and so I can't move on.

Does anyone know how to fix this or what I might be doing wrong?

Working with:

AE version 23.2.1 (Build 3)

Windows 11 Home (version 22H2)

Well, if anyone ever runs into this problem: I fixed it! It turned out that there was some kind of bug in one of the fonts. The error kept happening when I scrolled to a certain point in the font list. I deleted the font and now the problem is solved.

Hope this is helpful for someone out there. 😉

Plz Teal Mi How to Find This Font

Hi there,

I don't remember what font it was, but I noticed that it happened at a certain point when scrolling through the list of fonts. I searched for free fonts that started with that letter in the alphabet and deleted one of those. That solved the problem for me.

Another person responding to this topic said that a simple reinstall fixed the problem for him, so that might be worth trying too. I hope it works!
