Cant open any menu panel

Hi! I cant open any menu in my workspace, for example if i want to change a font, its like the menu is stcuk, this happened too with the views and everything else in the workspace.

Have you tried resetting the preferences of After Effects as suggested by Rich? Did it help?

Hi -

I am having this exact issue daily. It resets after trashing the preferences and works for a while, but soon enough I can't get any pulldowns to open or stay open. They flicker on for a nanosecond and disappear.

I just tried the suggestion of resetting the work space, and that seems to fix it as well.

AE 18.4.1 Build 4

Make sure you did not open the Render Engine. If you opened After Effects and the workspace layout is fouled up you can use the Window/Workspace menu to reset workspaces to their original layout. If that does not fix the problem, try resetting preferences by holding down Shift + Alt/Option + Ctrl/Cmnd when you launch After Effects or open Preferences/General and look at the bottom left. You will see a button to reveal the Preferences folder. Click, Rename the file, then restart After Effects.

If none of that works, let us know. It would help us help you if we had more details. What OS? System? AE Version? What has changed on your system?
