Question

CC Bend It keeps cutting image even after precomposing or adding Grow Bounds effect.

Hello, I have an issue with the CC Bend It effect.

I have an Illustration that I wanted to use the Bend It Effect on.
A known issue with this effect is that it cuts the image once applied.
The most common solutions are to either use the Grow Bounds effect above CC Bend It, or simply precompose the layer and then add the effect on top of the new composition. But for some reason both of those solutions don't work for me anymore.

I've tried turning off the Continously Rasterize option, creating a new shape layer, turning it into a PNG and using that instead, using the Grow Bounds effects on top of the precomposed layer, and yet nothing works.

I'd love to know if there's another solution to that issue.

Try increasing the precomposition's dimensions to ensure the entire layer fits within the composition boundaries. You can also apply the CC Repetile effect before CC Bend It to expand the canvas. If these don't work, consider using another distortion effect like Mesh Warp for similar results.

Hey Liam,

Sorry for the issue. I tried applying the effect on a PNG image and couldn't replicate the problem. I saw that the image gets clipped if I pre-compose and add the effect to the composition, but if I directly add it to the image, the effects work without clipping the image. Let us know if you're experiencing this issue with all image files or only this specific file. Please also share your image and composition dimensions.

Thanks,

Ishan
