Is it possible to change the difficulty from intermediate to beginner?

When you first set up an Adobe account and download your first CC app, you are asked some questions about yourself that includes an "experience level" question.

However, that is purely a marketing question and has no effect on the software. It's just more personal data for Adobe to use in targeting their marketing.

So, no, I don't think there is any way to change the answer, but it doesn't really matter. After Effects has no "beginner" setting to make it easier to use/learn. Start with the tutorials on the Adobe site and AE will become a lot less intimidating.

It makes no difference in the operation or function of AE. You still have to learn the basics of the UI and the basics of layered video production and animation. Expect to spend at least 40 hours doing some serious study before you are successful at doing anything except mimicking some very basic tutorials. AE is not for the casual user. AE is not an editing app. AE is for creating visual effects, composites and motion graphics that cannot be created in a Non-Linear Editor like Premiere Pro. Most AE comps are single shots, most of mine are under seven seconds. AE is not a click the magic button and create an amazing video app. AE is a professional tool capable of creating any visual effect or composite you have ever seen in any movie or commercial and it requires some serious training and practice to use for anything but mimicking simple tutorials.

If you want to learn AE start here: Basic AE and make sure that you go through all of the getting started materials before you do anyting else.

What on God's Green Earth are you talking about, brian?

That has to be one of the most non-sensical questions ever asked in this forum.  Congratulations, you've hit a new low.

When you first download it asks for the experience and I clicked 'intermediate' and wanted to know if there was a way to change it to beginner
