I am working from home and I don't have access to the full version of C4D r25 here. I do have C4D at home with my Adobe account, so i am trying learn the basics. I am just trying to drop a bunch of objects and have them hit the ground and bounce without having to manually doing the work of keyframing of every object like a total noob. It seems like such a basic thing that it would be included even in the Lite version, right? Unfortunately, while I have figured out HOW to do this in the full version C4D, I have not been able to figure out IF this is even possible in C4D Lite. Did I miss something? Am I wasting my time? Should I just jump ship and go to Blender instead?
No. Dynamics are exclusive to the full version of C4D. You could try to fake it with the few replicators/ effectors the Lite version has (formerly MoGraph) as they respond to the basic collision tag, but that's pretty much it. If you need more complex stuff, diving into Blender would indeed be a more productive use of your time.

I appreciate your help on this, Mylenium. It is a bit disappointing that "simple" things are not included in Lite. Finding out that particular limitation has soured me on investing my time into learning and ultimately buying the program.

Well, it's what happens when companies get greedy. Sadly we live in a world where everything related to motion graphics is owned only by a handful of companies and they sure exploit their monopolies...
