Hi Team,
I have installed After Effects on my current laptop for the first time. It was installed successfully and I am able to open the application, create a new composition, and perform some actions but after 2-3 minutes my composition window freezes and stops to respond.
My Laptop specification: Intel i7 11th Gen with 16 GB Ram with Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics.
Following are the solutions I tried:
-Stop using multiple screens
-Tried both the options under Video Rendering Effects
-Purge Memory and Cache
-Installed and uninstalled pervious versions/beta
Can you please help me? I am not sure if there is an issue with my system or the software?
Kind Regards

Same boring answer as always: Update your system's graphics driver and configure it suitably.

Hi Raj_Delfin,
Sorry for your issue.
What happens when the Composition panel freezes? Does it come back to working again or does it stay that way and After Effects needs to be closed?
Also, is there any dedicated GPU installed on your laptop? As Mylenium suggested, try updating your GPU driver if it is not up to date already.
Note: Try updating the driver manually. Do not rely on Windows.
Let us know.
Thanks,
Nishu

Hi Nishu_kush,
Thank you for your response. I have checked and the driver is up to date.
The composition is frozen and doesn't respond. I have to close AE and then it works fine for like 3-4 minutes.
