Creating 2 text with 1 layer.

Is it possible to get this effect with just ONE text layer? Something like Repeater effect for shapes. Yes, I can create Shape from Text. But I need it on text layer. And without precomp.

It is the same text on the back BUT Scaled Up and Opacity decreased.

P.S: tried with "Echo", not possible.

It's actuall possible if you seperate the two texts into paragraphs. Large text is paragraph 1 and small text is paragraph 2. Then you can use paragraph options to place the 2nd text.

But keep in mind that you have to recalibrate paragraph settings for every text - most likely the setting for "text" won't fit the setting for "a very long word".

Therefore I rather would use a precomp which is two times in another main comp. This way you only have one text layers, but in two instances. You can use master properties to change colors and (maybe) text styles.

I couldn't get the effect you achieved  😕 How you played with Paragraph settings? I change the numbers, nothing changes.
Whole text is moving.

BTW,  I forgot to tell, I need control the LARGE text source with the SMALL text source. Is it possible with your solution?

I create template so I don't want to put my text into precomp unfortunately 😕

You didn't add a paragraph - just hit enter to put the text on a new line.

What do you exactly mean be "control the large text with the small text"? What do you want to control?

However, I think what you want to do is not possible with this solution. If you want to control one text element by another, this requires two layers and expression. Maybe there is an one-layer and badass expression way - it really depends on your use case.

Also, precomps are one of the core techniques in AE, so why avoid them? You can put controls on top comp and set values for layers in precomps. You can make a user friendly template with pre-comps. I don't get your point here.

Thanks for help!! Yes I did with precomps. I didn't want with precomp because wanted to do it easiest for customers. But in this situation I have no other way 🙂 thanks again!

Use text animators. This is one line of text with a single position animator with scale, opacity, fill, stroke color, stroke width, and Tracking amount added with the Advanced options set to Index and Words plus Per Character 3D.

I have shown you everything that I modified on the layers.
