Current Time Indicator (CTI) jumps forward when returning to parent comp
Hi,
I'm using AE 17.5.1 (Build 47) on an iMac running Catalina 10.15.7. I have a project using nested comps. Usually when going into the nested comps the CTI tracks the proper frame relative to the parent comp. However, I am experiencing a bizarre behaviour and don't know if there's a setting I'm missing, or if it possibly a bug.
Essentially, when I enter a nested comp, the CTI lands at the correct frame. But when I return to the parent comp, the CTI jumps forward 353 frames for some reason. When I go back into the child comp, the CTI lands at the right place, but when I go back to the parent comp it jumps forward another 353 frames.
- Starting from Main_Comp: CTI at 00000
- Enter Child_Comp_1: CTI at 00000 (OK)
- Return to Main_Comp (Close Child_Comp_1): CTI now at 00353 (!)
- Re-enter Child_Comp_1: CTI at 00353 (OK)
- Return to Main_Comp (Close Child_Comp_1): CTI now at 00706 (!)
- Re-enter Child_Comp_1: CTI at 00706 (OK)
- Return to Main_Comp (Close Child_Comp_1): CTI now at 01059 (!)
- Re-enter Child_Comp_1: CTI at 01059 (OK)
There is no time-remapping being used, and the child comp starts at frame 0 of the main comp.
Interestingly, additional levels of child comps behave properly. It's just the main comp and first child experiencing this behaviou.
Any ideas if I'm missing something or what I can try?
Thank you for any suggestions.
