Cursor issues in AE 23.0 on Windows 11

Has anyone else on a Windows 11 system noticed the cursor flickering when trying to select handles or other small nav elements, or items in the timeline withte latest update to AE? If you hover over a footage in or out and stop moving the mouse, the double arrow changes back to the pointer. You have to be quick to click the mouse to be able to grab things. I also noticed when trying to click a filename from the home screen. Also, the link area seems to be on the physical pixels of the filename only, not the whole bar.

A little sleuthing and I tracked down the issue—the Mt. Mograph Motion 4 extension! When disabled, I do not see the issue. Just closing the Motion 4 panel makes the issue go away. Thanks for your responses. It got me thinking!

Fair enough. If it works in 22 it indeed should behave in 23 as well. As a test I would still turn off hardware acceleration, though. Most definitely that is involved here somewhere and it it's not the interface itself it could just as well be AE decoding footage or filling the cache. On that note it may also be worth turning off multiframe rendering. There may perhaps be some delay in the background instances that "distracts" AE and then you lose the window focus until you click again.

Without any exact system info, details about your hardware acceleration settings, your input device and so on we can't tell you much. Start by checking your system DPI/ UI scaling settings, your mouse and tablet driver and so on. Nine times out of ten it has to do with misconfigurations there so the hit areas can't be detected properly or the input device is too twitchy and hyper-sensitive.

Thanks Mylenium. Nothing has changed with my settings between v22 and v23, so I'm a little skeptical that it's my configuration. I also do not see the issue in any of the other Adobe apps.
