Deep Glow missing after Updating AE to latest v25.2

Hello Everyone,

Hoping to find a solution for this issue here. I just updated my AE to version 25.2 and when I opened my project it gave me a message that Deep Glow effect is missing. I manually checked and saved the effect in the plugins folder as what was suggested in tutorials but it still showing as missing when I open After Effects. Anyone had the same issue?

Yeah, I faced the same issue. After searching for a solution, I found out that the latest version of After Effects only supports the latest version of Deep Glow. Older versions are ignored to prevent glitches. Now I'm stuck too because I don't have the latest Deep Glow version.

You're referring to deep glow 2, correct?

If you can't see the effects despite it being compatible with After Effects then go to Effects menu > Manage Effects > and ensure that the effect is checked.

the problem of that is that the new update is recognized on the program as a different plugin. So there's many projects with this change that are messed up cause the programm doesn't replace the older plugin for the new update. It just understands it as a different plugin.

I’m experiencing the same issue. Deep Glow was working perfectly before, but after updating After Effects, it no longer shows up or functions properly.

I'm facing the SAME problem. I think it's a version issue so I'm trying to re-install the older version. I'll let you all know if it works. Thanks

Can you try reaching out to the plug-in manufacturer and see if they have an update available?

I have found a perfect solution just intall Deep Glow 2 and run the script
it will automatically replace all the deep glow effect with deep glow 2 with the adjustments made in the deep glow one.

just rename .txt format to .jsx and it will work
